William Martis Geiger, age: 86, of Beavercreek, Ohio was born on May 6, 1933 and died on January 19, 2021. “He has slipped the surly bonds of Earth and touched the face of God.” Occupation: Sales Manager – The Finke Company – Length of Service: 29 Years Sales Manager was Bill’s “job”, being a walking encyclopedia of everything and anything to do with Airplanes was his passion. Dad loved game shows, crossword puzzles, reading Tom Clancy, David Baldacci, and James Patterson when he wasn’t turning the pages of his airplane magazines, watching his The Ohio State Buckeyes or golf tournaments. Long-time dedicated volunteer at Kettering Hospital until he “retired” to take care of his “Lou” during her final illness. Bill knew the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum so well they often asked him to volunteer as a guide! Dad was so, so smart, with a wicked sense of humor. He never knew a stranger and had the gift of talking to you as if you were the only two people in the room. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as a drummer and enjoyed traveling with the Army Band entertaining the Troops. He helped his Fred J Miller lead the Miller Blackhawks Drum and Bugle Corp for several years, and his love of drumming continued as he would use any surface at hand to bang out a rhythm and! Preceded in death by: Beloved Wife of 54 years: Mary Louise (“Lou”) (Gallivan) Geiger, Parents: William C. Geiger and Laverne Arden Geiger, as well as many loved Aunts, Uncles, and In-Laws. Survived by: One of his favorite people on the planet, his brother and best friend: Robert (Randi) Geiger, cherished daughters and son, Lisa Marie Nack, Lynne Marie Christiano, Lea Marie Snider (Gary), and Mark William Geiger (Scott). The Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren that “Papaw” and “Grammy” adored: Robert August Nack (Michelle), Ashley Diane Christiano, Nicole Tyler Christiano, Danielle Marie Snider (Gabe), and Tyler Matthew Snider (Caitlyn). Great-Grandchildren: Charlotte and Graham Nack. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. This isn’t Good Bye, Billy. Just a “See You Later.” We will love, miss, and remember you forever and a day. Fly free and happy with your girl. Give her our Love!
