Margie D. Bentley

Margie D. Kitts Bentley, 86, of Centerville, formerly of LaFollette, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Margie was born On October 14, 1934 in Davis Chapel in LaFollette, Tennessee. After graduating from Bradley County High School in Cleveland, Tennessee, she went to Fort Sanders/University of Tennessee where she graduated with her nursing degree in 1955. Margie was blessed with a servant’s heart. As a Registered Nurse, she touched the lives of countless patients. As a former member of Far Hills Baptist Church, she served others there in many roles. Margie was a current member of MorningStar Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roy L. Bentley, Jr.; parents, James M. and Nannie B. Kitts; siblings Myrtle (died in infancy), Evelyn McCoin, Jesse Kitts, and George Kitts. Margie is survived by daughters Cynthia Bentley of Kettering, Evelyn and Richard Valentine of Morristown, TN, and Jennifer and Luis “Bing” Boneta of Knoxville, TN; grandson Jeremy and Dana Gifford and their children McKenna, Kaiya, and Elijah; grandson Sean and Donna Gifford and their children Ashley, Tommy, Aidan, and Ally; grandson Nathan Valentine and his daughter Aeryn; granddaughter Jennifer and Shane Spivey and their children Megan, Brandon, and Bryant; granddaughter Amanda Valentine; grandson Nathan and Kristen Garvey and their children Carter, Jackson, and Levi Roy; granddaughter Emily Boneta and grandson Evan Boneta; nieces Shirley Davis and Nancy Williams; nephews Mac and Ann McCoin and George McCoin; special sister-in-law Anita Kitts; and numerous wonderful friends, including Laura Jessup. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at MorningStar Baptist Church, 208 Nutt Rd., Centerville. Family will greet friends 10:00 am until time of service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery.
